'GenericWave started with a humble vision: to deliver genuine Neapolitan pizza to Glasgow. The Bennett family opened our doors in 1985, evolving from a modest family-focused venture with deep-rooted recipes passed down across many generations.
Emily Bennett, our founder, acquired the pizza crafting skills during her Italian voyages, learning from renowned pizzaiolos in Naples—the pizza's original home. After returning to the UK, she set on a mission to replicate the essence of true Italian pizza, favoring age-old techniques and premium quality components.
A journey from a little 12-seater pizzeria to a well-loved cornerstone of the community, our devotion to distinction and credibility remains intact. We continue to bake with authentic wood-fired oven methods, prepare our dough daily from scratch, and select the top-notch ingredients available.
Nowadays, 'GenericWave's ownership and operations still lie within the Bennett family, with a new generation at the helm, steering a dedicated crew. Despite embracing new advancements, our core principle stands unaltered: to create delectable, genuine pizzas that unite diners.
